Due to rising demand of medical professionals in hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities, there is more number of aspirants joining medical institutes as compared to previous years. The medical institutes are pre equipped with all the facilities and provide training to the aspirants, who want to make it a big in the field of medicine. 
 
However, it came to light that medical coding training course is in demand and students prefer completing this course. Following is the job description of a trainee working in a hospital after completing training in medical coding –
  1. The trainee needs to handle paper work of patients and they need to submit documents to insurance companies and claim the desired amount for the patients.
  2. While a patient is signing out from a hospital, a bill needs to be produced. The sole responsibility of providing an accurate bill is on the shoulders of medical biller. The amount printed in the bill needs to be ascertained in the proper manner so that while claiming the amount the payer is able to see the transparency in the bill.
  3. The purpose of completion of medical forms is to extract information regarding the illness of a patient. The other information regarding any past illness or any other problem faced by a patient in the past need to be declared in the form and medical biller need to make a mark of it.
  4. The scheduling of appointments in a hospital is a prime job as surgeons and specialists might take hours in an operation. The medical coder need to stream line the appointments so that there is no hindrance in the working of practitioners and an appointment is also scheduled for a patient.
  5. The explanation of medical insurances to patients is also a prime duty of medical coder. They need to explain each and every aspect to patients so that there are no complications at the time of billing. Moreover, they also need to communicate to the insurance companies to discuss the technicalities involved in a case.

Some of these exams are conducted by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA). There are some more certification exams such as International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and NASM. These bodies are recognized by International Health, Racquet & Sports club Association (IHRSA).
Salary – Annual salary of these professionals is between 50,000 to 60,000 US dollars. Their wages are affected by other factors such as their certification, education, location and experience. However, those who are new in this field may get lower wages but with experience, their salaries also increase year by year. Some trainers who are more experienced can get more than 75,000 US dollars.
This profession requires passion for fitness as well as patience for teaching others.
